CareCounsel Presents at Mid-Sized Retirement & Healthcare Plan Management Conference

San Rafael, CA - February 3, 2012 - CareCounsel, LLC, the company that pioneered health advocacy as an employee benefit in 1997, announced today that Founder and CEO, Lawrence N. Gelb, will speak at the Mid-Sized Retirement & Healthcare Plan Management Conference in San Francisco on March 20, 2012.

Dr. Gelb's talk is titled "Take the Cure: Health Advocacy for the Employee Cost-Sharing/Increased Responsibility Blues." It will focus on how implementing a health advocacy program can help employers provide a positive, value-added benefit in an era of increased employee cost-sharing and financial responsibilities.

"Nobody likes to pay more for their health benefits and get less, especially when the plan design puts the onus on the consumer to navigate properly. But offering the navigational support of a health advocacy service can help employees and their families maximize their benefits, while keeping costs to a minimum."

Gelb continued, "We look forward to hearing the concerns that mid-size employers are facing in regards to healthcare benefits and how our advocacy services can help meet their needs. Employers have counted on CareCounsel to support their employees, retirees and family members in the ever-changing healthcare world for the past 15 years."
